Should you use a Sparkling Cube? Catch, Perfect Potential and 8+ odds
The short answer
Use a Sparkling Cube when you know the target is one you want and want the catch to guarantee success, Perfect Potential, and a Sparkling appearance. On an Aniimo that is already Perfect, it only raises the chance that recommended attributes exceed 8; it does not guarantee extra points. If the species or an egg’s effect is unclear, read its exact in-game text before deciding.
What the Sparkling Cube guarantees
- The item text says the catch is guaranteed to succeed and the Aniimo will be Perfect and Sparkling. The official dev-team notice also confirms Perfect Potential for Aniimo caught with a Sparkling Cube.
- Already-Perfect target: the item text only says the chance of recommended attributes exceeding 8 rises. It does not guarantee an attribute above 8 or extra potential points.
Check the target before spending
- Make sure the species or form is one you want to keep, then inspect its displayed potential and appearance.
- If the target is an egg, read that egg’s exact in-game description. Do not assume its name guarantees Perfect Potential or that a Sparkling Cube is automatically the best choice for a random egg.
- If the target is already Perfect, a reason to use the Cube could be wanting the Sparkling appearance or trying to improve the odds of recommended attributes exceeding 8. That stat outcome is not guaranteed.
